Fishing report for Orlando bass and mosquito lagoon redfish and trout

Over the past few weeks fishing has been amazing in world famous mosquito lagoon fishing the flats for redfish and trout. The trout bite has been on fire! Top water lures have been my go to for trout. I have been using a mirrOlure in a mullet color. Sight fishing has also been excellent for schooling red fish. Redfish have also been very productive close to the shoreline. Middle part of mosquito lagoon has been holding fish in numbers, trout and redfish have been surrounding bait pods of mullet in about 2-3ft of water on grassy flats with a sandy spotted bottom. As a fishing guide this time of year is really good for sight fishing mosquito lagoon for redfish and trout!

Fishing in Orlando for bass has been very productive on lake Conway for bass, crappie, and chain pickerel, bass has been schooling up first thing In the morning and can easily be seen blowing bait out of the water. Big bass are starting to bed up and that makes really good sight fishing for the big girls. Crappie and chain pickerel are mixed in with the bass around docks and hydilla beds.
